On 21 July 2026, time of the day unclear, IRGC forces fired several cruise missiles that directly impacted the Batelco RJR Data Center - Askar (Southern) and its electrical substation supplying power to the facility, causing material damage. Casualties unknown. The IRGC claimed to have targeted and 'Amazon data infrastructure', while it had already struck the site on 18 July, this time naming it an 'enemy information data center'. Batelco hosts servers used by AWS.
