On 14 July 2026, in the northern part of Hpakant township (Mohnyin district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes on the area controlled by the Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA) Brigade-9 Battalion-6 with 2 jet fighters from the Tada-U airbase and 2 jet fighters from the Homalin airbase, without an armed clash occurring. Casualties unknown.
