Three soldiers and two civilians were wounded by the detonation of an explosive device in Arauca, in eastern Colombia, in a new action attributed to the armed organisations present in the area. The incident occurred on Friday in the village of Barrancones, in the municipality of Arauca, during a joint police and army surveillance and control operation, reports Colombian radio station RCN. General Mauricio José Zabala, commander of the army's Eighth Division, explained that the explosive device was thrown at a patrol on board a vehicle.
