On 13 July 2026, time of day unclear, Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) launched two cruise missiles that directly hit and caused fires on two UAE-owned tankers, the Mombasa B crude oil tanker (IMO: 9739501) and Al Bahyah crude oil tanker (IMO: 9937799), while the tankers were transiting the southern lane of the Strait of Hormuz in Omani territorial waters, around 13 nm southeast of Limah (coded to Coast of Limah) (Khasab, Musandam), killing 1 Indian-national crew member, and injuring 8 other crew members (4 Indians and 4 Ukrainians) from both ships, 1 on board Al Bahyah and 7 on board the Mombasa B, with 4 of the latter sustaining serious injuries.
