This Wednesday, September 1, 2021, on the Dansa-Petaka axis in the Douentza district, the vehicle of a convoy of the Malian armed forces struck an improvised explosive device (IED). According to local sources, the incident occurred around 5 p.m. on the RN 16. The provisional toll shows six victims (2 dead and 4 injured). All the victims were taken and taken care of in Douentza before being evacuated to Sevaré. We offer our condolences to the families of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.
