On 16 July 2026, an unidentified drone crashed near the Liberian-flagged oil tanker Supreme Prosperity while it was berthed at the Basrah Oil Terminal in Iraq's territorial waters (coded as Coast of Al Basrah, Al Basrah), without exploding. Following the incident, authorities temporarily halted oil pumping. Security forces opened an investigation. The drone impact occurred outside port facilities and did not interrupt export operations. There were no casualties.
