On 17 July 2026, morning, U.S. forces conducted repeated waves of air/drone strikes targeting the IRGC Imam Ali Naval Base (Chabahar, Sistan and Baluchestan), causing multiple explosions. The airstrikes by the US were a retaliation for the Iranian military attack against commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz (coded separately). Casualties unknown.
