The Myaing Gyon People's Defense Force announced today that two police officers from Police Battalion 11 were arrested with weapons and ammunition on July 7 in Pauk Township, Magway Region. According to local reports, the two starving, feverish police officers asked a nearby villager for rice, so they were tracked down in the forest and arrested with one MA2 rifle, one MA12 rifle, eight magazines, over 300 rounds of ammunition, and other related items were seized, the group said.

According to a statement from the Myaing Gyan Force, the two police officers were part of a six-hundred-strong column that had departed from the 101st Division in Pyiakuk and was heading to DhakSharpin village. Local residents have been displaced due to nearly two months of fighting between the junta's forces and revolutionary forces in Myaing Township.
