A vehicle carrying military forces and Pyu Saw Htee fighters was attacked with landmines in Salin Township, Magway Region, causing extensive damage to the military forces and damage to the vehicle, the Regional Defense Force announced today (July 26).
According to the statement, on July 25, about 25 members of the military junta and Pyu Saw Htee from the Kanpya Police Station in Salin Township received information that forces would be moving to Thit Khao Taung village by vehicle, so they waited in advance at a place on the Kanpya-Thit Khao Taung road, planted mines, and opened fire.
The statement said that after about 20 minutes of exchange of fire between the two sides, the vehicle carrying the military regime forces drove away from the scene. According to the subsequent investigation by the Regional Defense Force, the military and Pyu Saw Htee members in the vehicle suffered numerous injuries, and the vehicle was also damaged. The attack was reportedly carried out in collaboration with the Daw Nyinaung Urban Disappearance Force and the SLN LPDF.
