SAA event in Lebanon on Sun 26th July 2026

Following a security surveillance operation, a patrol from the Directorate of Military Intelligence in the Zouk Mosbeh-Kesrouan area arrested two citizens, (N.A.) and (L.A.), for drug trafficking and counterfeiting. During the arrest, the first suspect opened fire on the patrol, who returned fire, wounding him. He was transported to a hospital for treatment. The patrol also seized approximately one million Captagon pills, about 60 kg of hashish, a firearm, a hand grenade, and a sum of counterfeit money. The seized items were handed over, and an investigation was launched with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
