Several shots were fired at an apartment door in Upplands Väsby. No one was injured, but several people were reportedly inside the home.

– It could have been serious, says Mats Eriksson, press spokesperson for the Stockholm Police Region.

Shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, police received an alarm that several shots had been fired at an apartment door in central Upplands Väsby. At least two people were in the home at the time of the incident, but no one was injured.

– There are several bullet holes in the door, the bullets have gone through the door. It could have been serious if someone had been standing right by the door, says Mats Eriksson, press spokesperson for the Stockholm Police Region

Police are investigating the incident as attempted murder and aggravated weapons offense.

– Several people called the alarm. First, a resident heard glass breaking, looked out and saw a man who then shot at the door.

Several people have been checked during the night but no one has been arrested yet.

– We conducted a hunt for the perpetrator during the night. Now we will question everyone involved, says Mats Eriksson.
