Armed forces intercepted and attacked in Kanbalu Township, seizing weapons and ammunition.

Sagaing, 17 July

The Kanbalu District PDF announced this evening that they attacked the terrorist military regime and allied Pyusawathu militias in Kabo Village, Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region, seizing their weapons and ammunition.

This morning, revolutionary forces opened fire on a joint force of the brutal military and Pyusawathu militias, who were stationed 200 metres from Kabo village.

The Kanbalu District Battalion reported that the column had come out onto the Kyi Kone road to collect protection money from travellers.

The Kanbalu District PDF stated that around five members of the brutal military were killed and approximately eight others were injured in the attack.

The Kanbalu District PDF stated that following the battle, they had seized one G3 rifle, one carbine rifle, and one communications icon.

The operation was led by the Kanchanaburi District People's Defence Force - PDC Battalion" The operation was led by Company 3 and Company 5 of the Kanchanaburi Provincial People's Defence Force - Provincial Regiment, in collaboration with comrades from the People's Defence Force sub-district units (Khao Bo sub-district and Sai Yok sub-district) and allied comrades from the People's Defence.
