Grenade event in Jammu and Kashmir, Kishtwar District area, India on Thu 26th August 2021

Security Forces (SFs) comprising of Army and Police arrested two Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) militants, identified as Ashfaq Qayoom Tak, resident of village Passerkot Takpur in Chatroo Tehsil (revenue unit) of Kishtwar District and Tousif Giri of Pochhal in Kishtwar District from forest area of Pingal in Chatroo of Kishtwar District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) during a raid based on information on August 26, reports Daily Excelsior. One pistol with one magazine and 20 rounds, one grenade, one empty AK-47 magazine, two wireless sets, one wireless antenna and letter pads of HM’s Doda division.The arrested militants were hatching conspiracy to carry out terror attacks under the jurisdiction of Chatroo Police Station, said officials.|Three Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Dar of Shatpora Mohalla, Langate, Jamsheed Ah Shah of Chak Mohalla, Langate and Javed Ahmad Khan Asthan Mohalla, Langate were arrested by SFs from Langate, Handwara of Baramulla District of J&K on August 26, reports Daily Excelsior. All three OGWs were associated with LeT and were involved in supporting the terrorist activities and they admitted their involvement into the grenade attack at Langate on August 16,said Police. Arms and ammunition were recovered during this incident.
