Shooting exchange with the terrorist military in the Hlaing Township

The REOP of REO has reported this evening that a shoot-out took place in REO Township, Sagaing Region, and that the terrorist military regime may have suffered casualties.

According to a statement from the Ye U PDF, the attack was carried out at around 5 p.m. today as the terrorist military was attempting to conscript porters for its illegal war in the Shwe Pyi Thar and Ye U Kone neighbourhoods of Ye U town.

A responsible official from the REOP said that a two-way exchange of fire occurred after members of the force moved in close to the town centre and began firing on the terrorist military with artillery support.

He added that the terrorist military forces may have suffered casualties as a result of the attack.

The REO official said, ‘We exchanged fire and our comrades were safe. There may have been casualties on the SNA side.’

The operation was carried out by the REO-Lakruuk Brigade.
