On August 25, a militant belonging to the Yung Aung faction of National Socialist Council of Nagaland- Khaplang (NSCN-K-YA) surrendered before the Police in Longding District of Arunachal Pradesh, reports East Mojo. According to sources, the surrendered militant, identified as Wangdan Wangham (age 37) of Kamhua Noknu village of Longding District in Arunachal Pradesh, held an important position in the outfit and was allegedly involved in extortion. The militant surrendered one U.S. made pistol, a Chinese hand grenade, and seven bullets.
