SAA event in Vlorë County, Sarandë area, Albania on Fri 17th July 2026

Two masked persons shot a 50-year-old man three times with a 9 mm pistol outside his business, injuring him. He was transported for medical treatment and was reported to be out of life-threatening danger. According to reports, the perpetrators fired a total of nine shots before fleeing on a motorcycle and were later suspected of escaping by boat. Police recovered an abandoned motorcycle believed to have been used in the attack. The perpetrators remain unidentified and the investigation is ongoing. The victim reportedly has prior criminal records and proceedings related to trafficking of minors, kidnapping, unauthorized firearm possession, smuggling, illegal migrant trafficking and motor vehicle trafficking.
