SAA event in Peja District, Istok area, Kosovo on Thu 16th July 2026

Inside a bar, off-duty police officers noticed that a 21-year-old man was carrying a gas pistol in his waistband and kept him under control until a patrol arrived. Police seized the gas pistol, while a waiter later found and handed over a magazine with five cartridges suspected to belong to the weapon. The man admitted that the pistol and magazine were his and that he had purchased the weapon five days earlier from unknown persons. He also said that he had consumed alcohol that night and had taken the weapon with him, although, according to his statement, he had no conflict or problem with anyone. After the interview and in consultation with the prosecutor, he was released under regular procedure.
