A 40-year-old man was shot with a burst of gunfire by unidentified persons as he was entering his apartment building. Investigators suspected that the perpetrators had followed him until the moment of the shooting. The man died while being transported to the hospital, and police were searching for the perpetrator or perpetrators. On 10 July 2026, police identified a 40-year-old man as the main suspected perpetrator and declared him wanted, while investigations continued into other possible persons involved. The suspect had previously been sentenced to five years in prison for threats related to duty, had prior records for illegal weapon possession, and had been arrested abroad for theft. Investigators found and seized a revolver near the crime scene, and ballistic examination was expected to determine whether it was used during the shooting, who owned it, and whether there had been an exchange of fire.
