The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested two al Qaeda militant at Jallo Pind area of Lahore, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on August 18, reports Dawn. The CTD team raided after credible information and arrested Abdul Manan and Imran Akhtar, a spokesperson for the Punjab CTD said. CTD spokesperson said the militants were planning to attack law enforcement agencies and Shias during Muharam in Lahore. 1,650g explosive material, prima card, detonator, safety fuse, a 30-bore pistol 3 and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the arrested militants.
