SF skilled a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant in an encounter at Kalas Danna at Thanamandi in Rajouri District of J&K on August 19, reports Daily Excelsior. A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) identified as Ram Singh, 46 was also killed in this encounter due to militant firing. SFs recovered one AK rifle, one pistol, magazine and large quantity of ammunition from the location. SFs continued to maintain cordon in entire forest area surrounding Thanamandi to ensure that there is no other militant there. The identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained and he is believed to be a Pakistani, said Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Rajouri-Poonch range Vivek Gupta.
