On August 19, a huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered from a forest near Hmawngbu village of Lawngtlai District in Mizoram near the Indo-Myanmar border, reports Northeast Now. During an operation, 3 pistols, 174 live rounds, 3 kg of explosive, 9 detonators and other war-like stores, including mobile phone modified IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) were recovered.
