Attack on Chingkwe Military Outpost in Paukbwa Township with 4 Rocket Launchers; 5 Soldiers, Including an Officer, Killed, and a Barracks Destroyed by Fire

Pegu Region, The Chin Li military checkpoint in Paukbyaung Township was attacked with rocket launchers by allied revolutionary forces, resulting in the deaths of five soldiers, including one officer, and wounding at least ten others. The attack also destroyed a barracks within the camp. ...and a barrack hut inside the camp was also burnt down," comrade Zarni Thwe, the military affairs commander of the Pyithagyi Township People's Defence Force (PDF), told the New Light of Myanmar news agency.
At around 4 a.m. on 14 July, the special attack force of the Pyin Oo Lwin District People's Defence Force, under the command of Strategy 21, together with the Pyin Oo Lwin District PDC and the Pyin Oo Lwin District Battalion, (1) It is reported that the battalion headquarters and allied forces jointly launched an attack on the Chingkaili military checkpoint in Paukbwa Township, using four rocket-propelled grenades.
The operation was carried out systematically, bypassing the junta's outposts, and the target was hit with precision. The attack killed five soldiers, including one officer, and wounded at least ten others, according to the Pyi District People's Defence Force.
Furthermore, the impact of the rockets caused a barracks within the camp to burn down, and significant damage was inflicted on the junta's base, according to the Pyaigyi District PDF.
The military checkpoint was attacked from four different directions. Four rockets were fired, and five soldiers, including one officer, were killed on the side of the military council. At least 10 others were injured, and a barrack in the camp was burnt down," said comrade Zarni Thwe, the military affairs commander of the Pyaigyi District PDF.
Following the attack, the junta forces reportedly retaliated fiercely against the surrounding areas, using not only artillery and small arms but also drones.
However, the allied revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without any casualties, in accordance with their pre-planned operational plan. The Pyithagyi District People's Defence Force also stated that there were no casualties on the revolutionary side.
This attack was one of a series of operations in which the revolutionary forces have been continuously targeting the military council's bases in the western part of Bago Region. The operation was one of a series of attacks by allied revolutionary forces on the junta's garrison bases, aimed at disrupting the military's operations.
