On Monday, the Antioch Police Department responded to the Amtrak station in downtown Antioch on a report of a possible explosive device on the train.

According to police, they said Stockton Police Department received a report of an explosive device on the train which was nearing the Antioch station around 7:15 pm. Antioch Police responded and evacuated the train and with the help of a Pittsburg Police K9 unit, they searched the train. During this time, police closed a portion of I St and all of W 1st St. Occupants of the train were taken to a safe area as police worked the scene.

By 9:00 pm, the “all clear” was given and the threat was deemed not credible.

No other information on the incident was released by police.
