On the night of July 14, a kamikaze drone launched by the joint forces of the military council and militia crashed and exploded in Mikusa Village, Khaunglanphu Township, in the northernmost part of Kachin State, causing casualties to an entire family, including a young child, according to local sources.
"Because the military council and its puppet militia forces intentionally attacked the village with kamikaze drones, family members, including a young child, were killed and injured," a local man said.
Currently, the fighting between the joint forces of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) / KPDF and the military council / militia is taking place near Border Pillar No. 30, and Mikusa Village, where the kamikaze drone was dropped, is said to be more than 14 miles away from the clash site.
