Thai soldiers fired five warning shots after Cambodian soldiers fired three shots just 500 meters from their base. The 2nd Army Region reported that Cambodia did not retaliate. They also indicated that since April 2026, there have been 19 incidents involving explosions and gunfire.

Thai soldiers fired five warning shots as a security measure. Cambodian soldiers did not retaliate. The 2nd Army Region stated

that the Thai side was safe, and Cambodia did not retaliate. The situation has returned to normal. Thai forces are closely monitoring the situation and performing their duties with caution.

Since April 2026, Cambodian soldiers have carried out 19 incidents involving explosions and firearms in border areas, particularly in the Huai Ta Maria and Chong Khan Ma districts.
