Locals reported that a local man was injured and his home was destroyed when the military junta bombed the town of Gwe in Rakhine State at around 4 p.m. on July 14.

The injured person is 39-year-old U Kyaw Thu, a resident of the Kin Yon Ward in Gwe.

A displaced person from Gu said that one man was injured when the military bombed Gu city twice in a row with fighter jets at around 4 pm on July 14.

“Yesterday, the villages and mountains in the Gwe Township area were bombed with cluster bombs, both from jets and Y12s. Now, this evening, they are again attacking the urban area with jet fighters, and one person from the Kin Yon Ward was injured. There were also casualties in other neighborhoods.”

A woman from Gu said that the local people are more worried than ever because the military junta is bombing Gu Township almost every day.

"I'm more scared than before. I'm being shot every day. I can't find a place to run. I can't even get food or shelter. It's really uncomfortable."

Locals said that the bombs dropped by the military dictatorship's air force hit the Solidarity Office in Myoma Ward, Thein Kone Keut Thit, and Kin Yon Ward, damaging the office and some homes.
