On 8 July 2026, Russian forces launched drones and ballistic missiles at Kyiv - Desnianskyi, Kyiv City, damaging an apartment building. At least one child was injured. In total, 3 civilians were killed by a noon drone strike in Kyiv - Desnianskyi and 16 (including 2 in Kyiv - Sviatoshynskyi) were injured overall in the city of Kyiv. A car repair shop and a three-story non-residential building near the market in Troieshchyna neighborhood were also damaged. A gas distribution station was also damaged.
