On August 15, unidentified miscreants lobbed two petrol bombs at Meghalaya Chief Minister (CM) Conrad K Sangma’s private residence in Third Mile of Shillong in East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya, reports Imphal Free Press. However, no one was injured. The incident took place amid curfew being imposed by the State Government in the District following a massive surge in violent protests in Shillong against the killing of former HNLC leader Chesterfield Thangkhiew in an encounter on August 13.
