On 6 July 2026, in Kani township (Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), the Daung New Generation Kani People's Defense Force attacked the Myanmar navy fleet that was sailing in the Chindwin River with 13 rockets and mines near the Shwe Sar Yae Wea area. Casualties unknown.
