On 6 July 2026, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on a car near the Red Crescent point in Al Mawasi (Khan Yunis) (Khan Yunis, Gaza Strip) killing 2 people, among them a commander in Hamas' Military Intelligence Unit. and injuring 16 others. A while later, an Israeli drone strike targeted a tent on Roni Street in the same location killing 2 more people and injuring 3 others. Total fatalities were 4. These events occurred in a Hamas-controlled area of the Yellow Line.
