On 5 July 2026, in Hpa Yar Gyi village (coded as Hpa Yar Gyi Kone) (Yegyi township, Kyonpyaw district, Ayeyarwady region), the Myanmar military fired heavy weapons that landed and exploded inside a paddy field around 5:00 pm. The heavy weapons killed a 23-year-old and a 31-year-old man, and injured 3 women, including a woman over 40-year-old. 2 fatalities.
