Air Delivered event in Mali on Wed 8th July 2026

On 8 July 2026, the Malian army and the Africa Corps claimed to have conducted thirteen airstrikes against FLA and JNIM in the areas of Anefis (Anefif, Kidal, Kidal) and Tabrichat (coded separately), resulting in the neutralization (meaning the killing) of approximately 100 militants, and the destruction of six combat vehicles and one pickup truck. On the same day, the Malian army announced that it conducted six other airstrikes in the Anefis area, destroying three militant vehicles and neutralizing several militants. Africa Corps also stated that it carried out a kamikaze drone attack (likely using IED-rigged drone based on the type of weapons Africa Corps has been using in previous attacks) that targeted an FLA vehicle near Anefis, killing a number of militants on board, and released videos of the drone attack. 100 fatalities split across two locations, coded as 50 to Anefis event.
