On 6 July 2026, the Malian army announced that it conducted two airstrikes targeting armed militants (likely FLA and/or JNIM based on the militant activity operating in the area), located eight kilometers east of Anefis, coded to the nearest populated location Inbogitane (Anefif, Kidal, Kidal).
