On 5 July 2026, in the afternoon, JNIM militants carried out a kamikaze drone attack (likely an IED-rigged drone based on the type of weapons the militant group has been using in previous attacks) against a Malian army position in the village of Kimparana (Kava, San, Segou). Casualties unknown.
