On 9 July 2026, night, IRGC forces launched an unspecified number of missiles and drones that directly impacted the Manama - Naval Support Activity Bahrain (US 5th Fleet) (Capital). Casualties unknown. The IRGC claimed to target 4 US-hosting bases in Kuwait and Bahrain on that day in retalition for US strikes on Iran, including Camp Arifjan and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and the Naval Support Activity Bahrain (US 5th Fleet) base and King Isa Air Base in Bahrain. The IRGC claimed that the drones targeted US fuel storage units in Bahrain.
