8th July 2026
On 8 July 2026, morning, Bahraini forces intercepted an unspecified number of missiles and drones (likely armed) launched by IRGC forces targeting US forces in Bahrain. As a result of the interception, shrapnel and projectiles caused a limited power outage across several locations in the country (coded to Manama) (Capital). The IRGC claimed that their forces launched ballistic missiles and drones at '85 US military sites' in the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and the US Fifth Naval Fleet base, King Isa Air Base and the Khalifa bin Salman Port in Bahrain, in response to the US bombing of several locations in Iran starting a day earlier.
