Law enforcement officers report the detention of three more active participants in the riots in the Sykhiv district of Lviv on July 8.

Source: Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office , interlocutor of the UP in law enforcement agencies

Details: According to the investigation, two detainees (men aged 21 and 28) organized and incited those present to commit illegal actions. In addition, they personally took an active part in damaging the service SUV of the servicemen of the Sykhiv RTCC and SP. In particular, they blocked its movement, jumped on the car, and later overturned it.

The third detainee is a 45-year-old Lviv resident. It was recorded that the man provoked a conflict with a serviceman of the CCC. Not receiving the expected response to the provocation, he began to use force against the serviceman - he pulled and tried to tear off his military uniform, continuing to verbally insult him.

All those detained are residents of the same neighborhood.

The issue of informing them of suspicions under Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations) and choosing preventive measures is currently being resolved, the prosecutor's office notes.

In addition, according to the UP, during the processing of video footage of the events, a 28-year-old man from the SZCh was identified among the participants, who was also detained, but within the framework of another criminal proceeding opened under Article 407 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

What preceded it: On July 9, a 23-year-old Lviv resident was detained for using a tear gas canister against police officers during an incident. In addition, he injured one of the law enforcement officers, resulting in a head injury.

On July 10, the court remanded this defendant in custody without bail.

Prehistory:

- After the man was taken to the CCC, another group of servicemen remained at the scene, where they were surrounded by a crowd. According to the CCC, the people behaved aggressively, damaged and overturned a service vehicle.
- Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, Mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi, and Military Ombudsman Olga Reshetylova responded to the incident in Lviv, where a crowd overturned a TCC official car, condemning the attack on servicemen and calling for the punishment of the perpetrators.
