SAA event in Korçë County, Pogradec area, Albania on Mon 29th June 2026

A 35-year-old man was injured after being shot in the leg while sitting in his parked vehicle. Police identified four suspects, men aged 22, 24, 30 and 40, of whom the 24-year-old suspect fired a pistol, hitting the victim twice in the leg and causing serious injuries. All suspects have previous convictions for crimes against persons. Two suspects were arrested, including one apprehended minutes after the shooting following a police pursuit, while two others remain at large. Investigators believe the attack was motivated by previous conflicts between the suspects and the victim. Three vehicles and six mobile phones were seized as evidence. The victim remains under medical care, and the case is being investigated as attempted premeditated murder and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
