IED event in Balochistan, Prom, Panjgur District area, Pakistan on Mon 29th June 2026

On June 29, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (South) conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO), intercepted and searched a suspicious vehicle, and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, from Prom area of Panjgur District of Balochistan, reports The Khyber Chronicles. The recovered arms and ammunition included five Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), six Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) rounds, three hand grenades, detonating cord, 1,000 rounds of Light Machine Gun (LMG) ammunition, 400 rounds of sniper rifle ammunition, and three Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) grenades. According to security officials, the seized weaponry was intended for use in targeted killings of innocent civilians in Balochistan, as well as other acts of terrorism aimed at destabilizing peace and security in the region.
