On June 29, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) unit of Sirsa Police arrested Punjab-based gangster Gaurav Sharma alias Goru Bacha, a resident of Ludhiana District of Punjab, near the Sirsa grain market in Sirsa District of Punjab, and recovered an illegal weapon, reports The Tribune. Police arrested the accused before he could allegedly commit a crime. Preliminary investigation indicates that Gaurav operates his own gang and is not currently linked to any other criminal outfit. No direct connection to any case registered in Sirsa has been established so far. Punjab Police has been informed, and further interrogation is underway to determine his criminal network, local contacts, and the purpose of his visit to Sirsa.
