On June 29, Manipur Police arrested three active cadres of People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) identified as Sorokhaibam Rohit Meitei alias Salai (24), Salam Yaiphaba Meitei alias Khajing (20) and a juvenile from Sawombung area under Lamlai Police Station in Imphal East District of Manipur, in connection with a First Information Report (FIR) registered at Porompat Police Station relating to earlier grenade attacks on a residence at Brahmapur, reports Manipur Police on X. Investigation established that, of six hand grenades supplied by their handler, five had been hurled at different residential locations in Imphal East and Imphal West Districts. Police recovered the remaining grenade and two scooters allegedly used in the attacks.
