On June 29, Iranian border guards opened fire on a group of Afghan nationals in the Kamana and Bonyad areas of Kohsan District in Herat Province, reports Afghanistan International. The group was attempting to cross into Iran when they came under fire from Iranian border forces.The exact number of casualties remains unclear, with conflicting reports about the number of those killed and injured. However, they confirmed that border guards opened fire and that several Afghan migrants were killed.
