On 26 July 2021, a remote controlled IED by Al Shabaab militants detonated targeting a government security forces (SNA) vehicle escorting the Governor of Hiran region traveling along Beer-Gadiid and Coomaad village, near Qabno village (Belet Weyne, Hiraan). Four soldiers were killed.
