SAA event in Balochistan, Ziarat District area, Pakistan on Sat 27th June 2026

One civilian was killed while five others including four Police personnel sustained injuries when unidentified armed men, suspected to be Baloch insurgents, launched a coordinated attack on a Police post and a Senior Superintendent of Police (SP) convoy at Zero Point in Ziarat District of Balochistan on June 27, reports Zrumbesh. Deputy Commissioner of Ziarat, Abdul Qaddus Achakzai, confirmed the details of the attack, stating that armed individuals opened fire on Police officers stationed at a checkpoint at Zero Point. At the time of the assault, the convoy of SP Ziarat was also passing through the same location and the attackers simultaneously opened fire on the senior officer’s motorcade as well. The attack claimed the life of a civilian identified as Nasir, who was caught in the line of fire during the assault. Four Police personnel Muhammad Asif, Nazir Ahmed, Saddam and Asghar sustained gunshot wounds during the exchange of fire. A passer-by, identified as Ziaulllah, was also wounded in the attack. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
