A roadside improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near Rodeenjo area on the outskirts of Kalat town (Kalat District) in Balochistan on June 26, targeting a Police convoy, however all personnel and vehicles escaped the blast without any casualties or damage, reports Zrumbesh. According to Police, three security vehicles were travelling from Kalat to Bencha for squad duty at the time of the explosion. The convoy consisted of one Quick Response Force (QRF) vehicle and two Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) vehicles. When the convoy reached the Rodeenjo area, a roadside IED planted near the route detonated close to the passing vehicles. Despite the proximity of the blast, all three vehicles and their personnel remained completely safe. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
