RPG event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ghora Baka Khel, Bannu District area, Pakistan on Fri 26th June 2026

On June 26, at least seven terrorists were killed in an information base operation (IBO) in the Ghora Baka Khel area of Baka Khel tehsil in Bannu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), reports Dawn. Security forces (SFs) said, “A search and clearance operation is currently underway in the area due to possible security threats, while further investigations are also in progress,” adding that they carried out a successful operation targeting a suspected vehicle reportedly carrying a heavy cache of weapons and explosive materials, including a 12.7-mm machine gun, RPGs, and mortar shells. According to sources, SFs targeted the suspected vehicle, parked near a government school, using a quadcopter.
