Separately, on June 25, Amritsar Police arrested four alleged arms smugglers, Gursevak Singh, Nirwail Singh, Jashanpreet Singh, and Gurwinder Singh alias Ginda and recovered four pistols and five live cartridges from their possession in Sultanwind, Amritsar district, reports The Tribune. Police alleged that the accused were in contact with Pakistan-based smugglers and used drones to receive consignments of heroin and illegal firearms across the International Border, before distributing them to criminal networks in Punjab.
