SAA event in Dhaka, Mirpur 10 area, Bangladesh on Tue 7th July 2026

On July 7, a young man named Mohammad Kawsar Bhuiyan alias Shanto (24) was arrested with weapons in connection with a shooting incident in the Mirpur 10 area of Dhaka, reports Prothom Alo. A day later, on July 8, 2026, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibuzzaman granted a four-day remand to the arrestee. In the remand application, the Police mentioned that patrol Police went to the spot after hearing gunshots in front of Chowrangi Market in Senpara area of ??Mirpur No. 10. Later, with the help of local people, Bhuiyan was arrested along with a revolver. The application further stated that a six-chamber revolver, four spent cartridge shells and two fresh cartridges were recovered from the accused, and a bullet fragment was also seized from the scene.
