On July 4, five members of the District Detective Branch (DB) were injured in an attack during an anti-drug operation in Maskanda Village in Durgapur Upazila (Sub-District) of Netrakona District, reports Prothom Alo. A day later, a case was filed on July 5 for obstructing government work and assaulting the Police, and another under the Special Powers Act. Two people identified as Abdul Awal (55) and Ali Akbar (28) were arrested in the incident. 100 bottles of Phensedyl were seized from the scene. In this incident, Sub-Inspector (SI) Haider Ali (Rana) filed a case naming four people and 25 other unidentified people as accused on charges of obstructing government work and attacking the Police.
