Security Forces (SFs) defused an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unidentified terrorists in the district headquarters of Wana in South Waziristan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on July 3, reports The Khyber Chronicles. The IED was discovered beneath a road near the District Press Club, reportedly concealed in a floodwater channel. Following the discovery, the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) reached the scene and neutralised through a controlled detonation. The blast caused panic among employees in nearby offices, although no casualties or damage were reported.
